Aside from the 3 hour wait at every time of the day, this place is great. For my girlfriend and I, we ordered 2 orders of xiao long bao, the spicy pork wontons, cucumber salad, and braised beef noodle soup. I think the cucumbers are a must have, and though they are simple, they definitely pack flavor. The soup is good as well and has plenty of beef, I'd say it's a pretty standard braised beef noodle soup. As for the main course, we chose the pork and also the chicken flavors of the popular xiao long bao. We found the chicken to be just okay, and the pork to be better. The real star of the show was the spicy shrimp wontons; the sauce they lay it in is so flavorful. Perfect way to end the night was the chocolate xiao long bao, and in my opinion this is another one of those must haves. Pro tip: set a reservation days ahead.

To have an amazing experience, please make a reservation, wait times are very long! I made a reservation for two at 7:45pm and we arrived at 7:30pm and checked in and was sat right away, even if it was a bit early. Great customer service from the hostess to the server. The food was amazing! Server was knowledgeable and attentive! And ambience was a vibe! Overall amazing!

It's official I don't live under a rock anymore! This was my first time here. My girlfriend, Kara made the reservation. It's located inside the mall (park over by MB grill area) and it will be located on the second floor. We arrived wayyyy earlier than our reservation and there was a huge line. Yet, we got seated right away. My head was honestly spinning lol. But there was so many staff members walking around and helping out everyone who looked lost and confused (like myself) I had Kara order for us lol. I'm always afraid of trying a lot of places like this because of my seafood allergy and there being seafood hidden in the sauces. But the waitress was great at assuring me that she would tell the staff. We started with cocktails We started with the lychee pear martini And then we ended with the lychee mojito Both these drinks were so delicious. I couldn't even tell they had alcohol in them. They were so refreshing. Then for our food Garlic green beans 5/5. they tasted so fresh Cucumber salad- I usually don't care for cucumber, but these were out of this world. Everything just tasted so fresh Pork XLB- not going to lie, I could of had two orders of these Fried rice (vegetable fried rice) spicy wontons which were the perfect amount of kick We also had some amazing noodles with fresh veggies And then for dessert we had the - chocolate XLB (a perfect chewy chocolate filled dumpling with a creamy dipping sauce) Our waitress was awesome and went above and beyond. Everyone else that was coming and removing our plates and bringing out our other dishes were extremely fast and friendly. Every single thing here tasted fresh. Zero complaints about the food The atmosphere was great. even the bathroom was clean. It was extremely busy yet we were tucked away in a little area where we could talk and hang out for a while. There was also an area where you could see them making the dumplings It was very laid back and you could honestly dress up for date night or dress it down. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Although I'm sure everyone has already been here lol

I always love coming here to have a nice dinner. We put our name down on the waitlist on a Tuesday night and sat down in about 5 minutes. We came around 6pm and it didn't get busy till around 7pm. Alyssa our server was great! She was super helpful and attentive to our needs. Josh was also a great runner! I always love ending dinner with the chocolate xiao with a side of sea cream foam.

I'm new to Taiwanese food, and Din Tai Fung at Del Amo Mall completely blew me away. This was hands-down one of the best meals I've ever had - romantic, indulgent, and unforgettable. We first spotted the restaurant early in our trip, but with nearly a 3-hour wait, we had to hold off. On our last night, we made late-night Tuesday reservations via Yelp, and it was so worth it. From the moment we walked in, the service was above and beyond - all the staff are polished, attentive, and it feels like high-end dining. The Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) were everything I dreamed they'd be - delicate, rich, and bursting with flavor. We also got the Shrimp Fried Rice, which was light & simple. BUT - The Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons were a life-changing experience. The way they melt in your mouth is almost indescribable. My boyfriend even said it was like a sensual experience in his mouth (LOL, but honestly, he wasn't wrong). While waiting for our table, we got to watch the chefs hard at work behind the glass, meticulously crafting dumplings - a mesmerizing preview of the quality and care that goes into every bite. Din Tai Fung isn't just a meal - it's an experience and now we see why people were waiting up to 3 hours. If you're even thinking about going, MAKE A RESERVATION and prepare for one of the best dining experiences of your life! Dang, so sad we live out of state bc this would be one of our routine date night spots. Last thought - pricing is so fair for the quality you are getting, for the two of us - 3 dishes was perfect, full and satisfied but not stuffed or uncomfortable - and the price was around $60 with tip included.
